Talk: Dresses & Data – Methods for making archival materials matter

I’m very pleased to be asked to speak at the Goldsmiths Design & Social Science seminar series 2013-14.
The theme this year is Data Practices:

This year the Design and Social Sciences Seminar Series explores the burgeoning analytical interest and methodological preoccupation with ‘data’ and the shifting terrain of data practices across design and social science. Incorporating lectures, workshops and demonstrations, the seminar series brings together a resonant range of events on data practices that provoke questions about the formation and force of data, the claims made for and through data, and the altered practices and politics of data.

My talk on Wednesday 5th Feb draws from my ‘Bikes and Bloomers‘ research project. It is titled – ‘Dresses & Data: Methods for making archival materials matter’.
